Welcome to Tulare County LAFCO

    The Tulare County LAFCO is responsible for coordinating logical and timely changes in local governmental boundaries, conducting special studies which review ways to reorganize, simplify, and streamline governmental structure and preparing Spheres of Influence for each city and special district within each county. The Commission's efforts are directed to seeing that services are provided efficiently and economically while agricultural and open-space lands are protected.

Notice is hereby given that a Public Review Draft for the Municipal Service Review for the City of Tulare is currently available for public review and comment. The MSR may be reviewed at the Tulare County LAFCO office, 210 N. Church St., Visalia, CA 93291 or on LAFCO’s website: http://www.co.tulare.ca.us/lafco/. You may submit written comments prior to June 5, 2013. Please direct comments, questions, and requests to review documents to Tulare County LAFCO. The Public Review Draft may be accessed from the LAFCO website http://www.co.tulare.ca.us/lafco/, or contacting Cynthia Echavarria at (559) 623-0450.
Based on comments received, a revised final draft will be produced and considered by the Commission at the June 5, 2013 LAFCO meeting.
